23 Weeks Pregnant / Kate is 16 months 4 weeks (Not quite 17 months somehow)!

I'm feeling great these days!  The exhaustion has been over for awhile, no heartburn yet, and I can feel this baby moving around all throughout the day.  I keep wondering what she will look like; will she look like Kate or will they be completely opposite?!  Red hair, blonde hair, or bald?!  Long and thin or chunky!?  I can't wait to meet this precious baby girl.
I started working out yesterday...so far I've gained 10 pounds and I would love to keep the total weight gain at about 20 pounds...I'm going to have to kick up the work outs and cut out the sweets!

Kate keeps growing and learning and amazing us all.  The latest additions to her vocabulary are; Princessa ("Preeencesssa" Ludims dogs name), Outside, All Gone,"cheeese" when I'm snapping photos of her, Mine, Jack (uncle Jack)- she yells this when the phone rings in the morning when we're having breakfast at Gigi's- she knows it's Jaaaaaack, she shakes her head yes now and understands the concept...but doesn't actually say yes yet.  She loves saying baby, but says it "beebee" over and over!  I've been really focusing on her babies...feeding them, bathing them, etc.  She also sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and she sings "up and down, up and down..all through town" - from the wheels on the bus- the whole time moving her body up and down.  I can't believe she can sing that whole verse!  She loves Elmo...and always says "elmo elmo" when we turn on Sesame Street!
She loves Mami Ludim and all her friends at daycare- Tatem, Isabella, Lauren and Baby Kai.  In the last few weeks, Kate has gone from running to the door to greet me in the afternoons to barely acknowledging me because she is so happy playing with her friends.  Makes me feel like chopped liver, but I'm happy she's so happy there!  Ludim and her family are so wonderful and we are so blessed to have them in our lives.  I know Kate is safe and happy in Ludims care and that feeling is worth everything to me.

Here is my belly this week!  This baby is getting BIG!

Here are some shots I took with my cell phone in the last few weeks: Kate

Saying, "Cheeeeese"

She crawled up here in about 1.6 seconds.  Couldn't believe it.  I think she's half monkey!

Kate - 16 Months and 2 Weeks

Just a quick update on my fun loving, always laughing and happy little toddler.

I really have to video all the cute things she's doing...new years resolution right there!!

1- She LOVES singing ring around the rosy, pocket full of posey and she will sing almost the whole second verse, I think it's unbelievable!  She will say this part, "ashes, ashes we all ... down".  She doesn't say the "fall" part, but isn't that amazing?  She's not even a year and half and she's putting all those words together.  Little genious, I promise!! ;)  She also does the physical "fall down" part...I must video and post here!

2- She LOVES singing "The Wheels on the Bus"....she does all the motions like toot the horn, she does the "shh shh shh" part where the bus driver shh's the children- Kate puts her finger to her mouth..., she her favorite part is the windows on the bus go "up and down"  she says "up and down" and physically goes up on her tippy toes and then squats down!

3- She knows so many parts of her body...nose, mouth, ears, eyes, head, tummy, hands, and feet.  And she's so proud of herself too...her smile is precious!

4- Daddy asked her to get a diaper a few weeks ago and she went straight to the bin with the diapers and brought one back to us!  First time we asked and we were both like, Wow, this kid is smart!

On another note, she's been given Cows Milk for about 3 months now and has had this rash around her mouth since about that time.  I didn't seriously put it together until recently, unfortunately.  4 days ago we switched her to goats milk and the rash that has been constant for all these months is gone!!  No more Cows milk!!

That's it for now!

20 Week Anatomy Scan! It's a GIRL!!

We had our 20 week anatomy and gender scan this morning!  My intuition was right...it's a girl.  I am so happy that Kate will have a sister...I hope they are best friends all their lives!  Not only did the ultrasound tech scan for gender, but she also measured all the babies bones, heart *166 beats per minute, kidneys, stomach, head...it was really neat to see all of the different parts of this tiny baby living inside of me.  The Dr. came in after reviewing the report and told us that the baby is perfect, she's growing right on schedule and all her measurements are right where they should be.  We are so blessed with healthy children, praise God for that!
I've been nervous and anxious and excited about today for weeks.  We finally found out that the placenta has moved up, this means no bed rest and no C-section!!  I can resume all normal activity!  I'm so happy.  I feel so blessed today...we could not have received better news.  Today was perfect from start to finish!  As I'm typing this I am feeling this baby kicking and moving all around....the miracle of life!

So I can't tell exactly what's in all of these neat little images, but I can tell you that I am so in love with all of these little parts.  Today we got the chance to see the little leg that is kicking me right now!

I couldn't imagine loving someone as much as I love Kate...but today I realized that it is definitely possible.  I can't wait to have both my girls in my arms!

Oh and I've gained 8 lbs...doing way better SO FAR, than last time!  Hoping to keep it that way ;)

Kick Kick. I'm here!

I can't believe I'm halfway thru this pregnancy, time is flying.....I started feeling these little kicks sooner this time around, about a week ago...@ 19 weeks.  Amazing!!  It's like the baby is saying, "Hey Mommy, I'm here...I really am!"
Sometimes it's hard to fathom all that is happening...
