Dada Dada

We started working with Kate more in the last week with Mama, Dada, Hi (while waving), & Kisses (when we kiss her)!
She's been talking a lot for a long time now, but mostly singing or saying long one syllable sounds...well tonight I said, "dada dada dada" and she copied me!!  We went back and forth saying it several times and it made me smile!  Of course she doesn't know dada means "daddy" yet...but it's amazing to watch her meet these little milestones!
She's also learning how to sit...she can balance herself for several seconds, but ends up leaning to one side and would flop over if I didn't catch her.  She's building the muscles she'll need and I bet she'll be sitting within a week or two!
Oh, and when we play on the blanket on the floor, she totally scooches herself back all the way to the carpet!  It's pretty cool to watch her in action!  Soon enough she'll be crawling all over the place...time is going by so fast, it feels like we just brought her home from the hospital.  Where did the last 5 1/2 months go!?!?

Kate is super inquisitive, I must have heard the words, "she's so alert" or some variation at least a hundred times!  She's always looking around and taking in everything that is happening around her with those gorgeous big blue eyes of hers!  She reaches for absolutely everything!  She can grab things in one hand and then trade hands...grabbing it with the other.  She wants to touch everything and most everything she touches goes straight to her mouth!
Reaching for Boots!
Working out in the bathtub!
Big smiles!
Blowing these bubbles with her mouth = so much fun!
Picking out her jams!

Look at all my hair!
So so HAPPY!

Daddy's little "minnie me"

Scooching back!
She's going to get up and go pretty soon!

Mimi came over to see her little Kate today.  Here is a picture of the two of them!
